This site features the photography of Patrick Eagar with help from a few others. It dates from 1972 (though there are a some images before then).

1972 was a landmark, because it was the year in which the cricket authorities relaxed the exclusive arrangement whereby a single agency would cover each Test match

Patrick has published thirteen books, starting with
"An Eye for Cricket" - Hodder and Stoughton 1979, and most recently, with the story of the 2005 English summer "The Ashes in Focus" - A&C Black 2005.

A major exhibition was held in 2005 and 2006 in the MCC Museum to celebrate Patrick's 51st Test match at Lord's.

This summer he has photographed number 58 - out of a total of 115 Tests ever played at Lord's - which is more than half of them. MCC details.
